Graham Girls Golf: The Lady Falcons competed in the Lady Elk Invitational tournament in Centerville, finishing 14th among a strong field of top state teams. Zoey Merritt led the Falcons with a score of 77. Grace Bowers shot 101, Kailey Dowty and Riley Donnelly each posted 105, and Bayla Moffitt carded a 107.
West Liberty-Salem Girls Golf: The West Liberty-Salem Girls Golf team improved their Ohio Heritage Conference (OHC) record to 2-2 with a solid 230-265 victory over Madison Plains at Liberty Hills on Monday night. Olivia Reichardt, Geneva Estep, Kennedy Wallace, Teagan Boyd, Ashlyn Pope, and Myla Thornburg each contributed to the team’s score. Taylor Cook and Breece Gullett recorded their best nine-hole scores of the season, helping the Tigers rise in the team rankings. West Liberty-Salem will host Greenville for another OHC match this Thursday.
Riverside Boys Golf: The Riverside boys golf team faced Lehman at Cherokee on Monday and fell short with a score of 168-216. Jaxon Woods led Riverside with a 39, finishing 2nd overall. Hayden McCully shot 51, Daniel Esh had a 59, and Syler Clark completed the round with a 67. The boys team will host Miami East this Thursday.
Riverside Girls Golf: The Riverside Lady Pirates triumphed over Miami East in a TRC match at Cherokee Hills. Reaghan McDaniel was the medalist with a 42. Zoie Armbruster followed with a 54, Kirstyn Carpenter achieved a personal best 57, Adalynn Calaway shot a 78, and Gracelynn Owen carded an 81.
Bellefontaine Boys Golf: The Bellefontaine boys golf team lost to Urbana 196-207 at Urbana Country Club on Monday night. The team was led by medalist Collen Brugler with a 42. Rory Pierce shot 53, Noah Smith posted a 54, and Kyle Boop added a 58.
Benjamin Logan Boys Golf: The Benjamin Logan Raiders participated in the WG Tiger Invitational at Prairie View Golf Course on August 12. Caleb Knight led the Raiders with a 90, followed by Ivan King with a 105. Utah Coleman and Drake Newland also competed. In a league match against Graham on August 15 at Lakeland Golf Course, the Raiders narrowly lost 203-205. Justin Elliot shot a 42 and earned 7.5 individual points, Caleb Knight had a 48 with 6 points, and Ivan King recorded a 53 with 4 points. The Raiders’ next match is against Northwestern on August 21 at The Elks Golf Course in Springfield.
