Area high school golfers took to the green Tuesday.
- The Riverside Pirate Ladies took on North Union (215) and Kenton (235) and came out a winner Tuesday with a 199. It was no surprise that Reaghan McDaniel was the match medalist with a 42. Emma Saylor shot a 50 and Ava Klingler had a 53. Rounding out the Pirates Cassie May shot a 54, Zoie Armbruster had a 55, and Kirstyn Carpenter shot a 68.
- Riverside Boys golf team hosted Troy Chrisitan Tuesday night and won 186 to 189. Jaxon Woods was the match medalist with a 40. Helping the team, Hayden McCully shot a 43, Hayden Sanford had a 49, Gavin Robinson a 54, Carter Kreglow added a 59, and Daniel Esh finished with a 59.
- The Lady Chiefs took on Jonathan Alder and came out on top with a narrow victory,182-185. For the Lady Chiefs, Kyndal Newkirk and Kate Myers were Co-medalists firing 43’s. Lexi Buffkin’s 46 and Emily Taylor’s 50 combined to the 182 sum. Gillian Steele shot a 53 and Elliett Lang shot a 62 to round out the varsity line-up. For the JV, Ella Fultz shot a 66, and Olivia Dearwester shot a 79.
- The West Liberty boys traveled to Reid Park to take on Catholic Central. The Tigers walked away with the win in a nail bitter 199-200. West Liberty is now 3-2 on the season and faces Greeneview at home on Thursday. Greyson Horsley had a 47, Braydon Thompson shot a 50 & Owen Barger 51.
- The Lady Lakers, we’re an action against the Graham Falcons. Graham won the match 193 to 226. The Lakers are back in action Wednesday at home.
- Calvary Christian hosted Riverdale at Cherokee Hills Tuesday. Riverdale shot 179 and Calvary 217. Scores for Calvary were Colton Smith 49, Leland Henry 51, Brant Zell 56, Zeek Wylie 58, Seth Jaunzemis 61, and Marley Young 67. Calvary’s next match with Emmanuel Christian Monday will be at the Springfield Elks course.
