Several area volleyball teams were in action Tuesday night, with Benjamin Logan and Indian Lake earning varsity victories while Riverside also competed across multiple levels.
Benjamin Logan 3, North Union 1
The Benjamin Logan Lady Raiders remained undefeated Tuesday night, earning a four-set victory over North Union at home, 25-14, 19-25, 25-12 and 25-17.
Benjamin Logan came out strong in the opening set, taking control early for a 25-14 win. North Union responded in the second set, evening the match at one set apiece with a 25-19 victory.
The Raiders regained momentum in the third set, cruising to a 25-12 win before closing out the match with a 25-17 fourth-set victory.
Georgia Daniels led Benjamin Logan with 16 kills and two aces, while Summer Cline added 11 kills and two aces. Abby Vance contributed five kills and three aces, while Storm LeVan recorded three kills and Ava Miller added one kill.
Autumn Cline directed the Raider offense with 31 assists and reached her 1,000-assist career milestone.
Defensively, Brielle Kline posted a 2.0 passing rating, while Lydia Johnson recorded a 1.0 passing rating.
The Raiders will face another undefeated team Thursday when they travel to Jonathan Alder for a 6:30 p.m. matchup for a massive CBC tilt.
Indian Lake 3, Northwestern 0
The Indian Lake varsity volleyball team traveled to Northwestern Tuesday night and swept the Warriors in straight sets, 26-24, 25-23 and 25-19.
Cami Bailey led the Lakers with 12 kills, nine digs and two aces. Courtney Altstaetter added 10 kills, five blocks and one dig.
Mackenzie Miller recorded six kills, 13 digs and one block, while Alivia Kinney finished with four kills, one block and five digs.
Madison Davis contributed three kills, one block, three digs and two aces, while Quinn Imm added five digs.
Addyson Roby led the offense with 30 assists. She also recorded two kills, one block, 11 digs and an ace.
The Lakers will travel to Bellefontaine Thursday.
JV — Indian Lake 2, Northwestern 1
The Indian Lake JV Lakers also picked up a victory, defeating Northwestern in three sets, 25-22, 19-25 and 25-17.
Claire Tidwell led the Lakers with eight kills and three digs, while Audra Harford added six kills.
Piper Robinson recorded five kills and two solo blocks, while Makayle Clary finished with five digs and two aces.
Layna Nessler contributed 11 assists and five digs, while Lux Kipker added 14 assists and five digs.
Troy Christian 3, Riverside 2
The Riverside varsity team battled Troy Christian to five sets before falling 25-19, 13-25, 25-16, 13-25 and 12-15.
Kara Klingler led the Pirates with 33 assists. Chloe Purtee recorded three aces and 12 digs, while Bella Robinson added three aces.
Valerie Knight led Riverside with 10 kills and three blocks, while Lily Zwiebel added seven kills.
Emilee Robinson finished with 19 digs.
JV — Riverside 2, Troy Christian 0
The Riverside JV team earned a straight-set victory over Troy Christian, winning 25-15 and 25-18.
Ellie Zwiebel led the offense with 11 assists. Bella Robinson recorded five aces and nine digs, while Kenzie Stotler and Karly Gillman each added four digs.
Addison Shoe finished with four kills, while Rolissa Foreman contributed three kills.
Kenton Ridge 3, Bellefontaine 0
The Bellefontaine Lady Chieftains traveled to Kenton Ridge Tuesday night for a CBC matchup, falling to the Cougars in straight sets, 10-25, 19-25 and 16-25.
Ava Layman led the Chieftains with nine kills, five digs, an ace and a 17-for-18 performance on serve receive.
Presley Vigansky recorded 19 assists, two blocks, one kill and two digs while going 6-for-6 from the service line. Alayna Boyd added four kills, six digs, two aces and 10 perfect serve-receive passes.
Celine Blinn was 4-for-4 on serve receive and 6-for-7 serving with an ace, while adding two digs. Arianna Rangel contributed four kills and a dig while going 2-for-2 serving.
Jazmin Nelson added one kill and one ace, while Jillian Ullom led the defensive effort with 14 digs. Ullom was also 12-for-13 on serve receive and 7-for-9 serving.
Ellie Bosiljevac added a dig.
Bellefontaine falls to 5-7 on the season and will host Indian Lake Thursday in a CBC crossover match.
JV — Kenton Ridge 2, Bellefontaine 0
The Bellefontaine JV Lady Chieftains also fell to Kenton Ridge, 25-8 and 25-13.
Ellie Bosiljevac recorded two kills and two digs, while Gianna Davis led the Chiefs with nine digs. Brookelyn Oaks added five digs.
Rosie Lightle finished with seven digs and three assists while going 6-for-7 serving with an ace. Rylyn Hoskins-Rose added a kill and a dig while going 2-for-2 serving.
Lexi McKirahan was 2-for-2 serving and recorded three digs, while Hailey Augustus and Alexis Hogan each added a dig.
The JV Lady Chiefs fall to 4-8 and will host Indian Lake Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
