The 22nd Annual Rushsylvania Rockets 5K brought runners of all ages to Logan County on Saturday, Aug. 1, with 43 participants completing the annual race through the village of Rushsylvania.
Calvin Shannon of Bellefontaine claimed the men’s overall title, covering the 3.1-mile course in 16:29.79, the only runner to finish in under 17 minutes.
Natalie Armbruster of Alger was the women’s overall winner, crossing the finish line in 22:03.76 to place sixth overall.
Aiden Fout of De Graff finished third overall and second among men in 18:27.01, while Bellefontaine’s Brenden Murray was fourth overall in 18:47.34. Daniel McPherson of Lewistown rounded out the overall top five with a time of 22:01.27.
On the women’s side, Bellefontaine’s Nevaeh Davis was runner-up in 22:07.43, followed by Gwendolyn Smith of Zanesfield in 23:21.10. Carly Davis of Bellefontaine finished fourth among women in 23:38.60, with Reagan Roell of Belle Center taking fifth in 25:08.14.
