The Calvary Spartans delivered a commanding performance on Thursday night, defeating the Lima Central Catholic Thunderbirds 8-0. Junior Captain Nehemiah Dillon led the charge with a hat trick, showcasing his scoring prowess. Joining Dillon on the scoresheet were Seniors Daniel Young and Luke Gaertner, Juniors Trent Comer and Elijah Lecrone, and Freshman Caleb Gantz, each contributing to the decisive win. The Spartans’ defense was impenetrable, with Goalkeepers Preston Carnes and John Gaertner combining for a shutout. With this victory, the Spartans improve to 4-1-1 on the season. They will look to build on their success next Thursday as they face Temple Christian.

West Liberty-Salem Tigers Secure 4-0 Victory Over Graham

The West Liberty-Salem Tigers’ varsity soccer team earned a solid 4-0 win against Graham on Thursday evening. The Tigers were dominant from the start, leading 3-0 at halftime and adding one more goal in the second half. Lance Campbell was a standout performer with two goals, while Troy Christison and Isaiah Reminder each added one goal. The assist column saw contributions from Isaiah Reames, Carson Kerns, and Isaiah Reminder. Goalkeeper Tucker Searles had a strong performance, recording 3 saves to secure the shutout. The Tigers will be back in action at home next Tuesday at 5:30 PM against Northeastern.
