Stinebaugh, Beck break school marks at Tiger Invite, Laker boys claim team title

Rain and soggy conditions didn’t slow down the action Friday night at the Waynesfield-Goshen Invitational, where Indian Lake delivered one of its most impressive performances of the season. The Laker boys captured the team title with 133 points, powered by multiple event wins and a record-breaking effort from Aidan Stinebaugh, who set a new school record in the triple jump. On the girls side, Addison Beck continued her standout season by breaking her own school record in the long jump while leading a strong overall showing.

Benjamin Logan also turned in a competitive night on both sides, with the Raider boys placing fourth and the girls finishing third, highlighted by event wins and strong relay performances across the board.

Indian Lake Boys – 1st Place (Waynesfield-Goshen Invitational)

Indian Lake powered through rainy conditions Friday night to claim the team title at the Tiger Invite, scoring 133 points to finish first out of 11 teams, ahead of runner-up North Union (112).

The Lakers were led by Aidan Stinebaugh, who delivered a record-breaking performance in the triple jump with a leap of 42-10, setting both a new school record and a meet record. He also added a second-place finish in the 400-meter dash (53.05).

Christopher Timms earned a win in the shot put (49-5.5) and placed fourth in discus (132-5), while Gavin Henry took first in the 110-meter hurdles (15.21) and second in the 300-meter hurdles (41.47).

Indian Lake also picked up a win in the 4×400 relay, with Brodey Reisinger, Kade Richardson, Henry, and Silas Holbrook finishing in 3:35. The 4×200 relay team of Noah Shirk, Richardson, Weston Campbell, and Ke’Shawn Blackwell added a runner-up finish (1:37).

Third-place finishes came from the 4×100 relay team of Reisinger, Henry, Holbrook, and Blackwell (45.73), as well as Holbrook in the 200. The Lakers added several fourth-place efforts from Reisinger in the 100 (11.29), Campbell in the high jump (5-8), and Carter Barnett in the long jump (19-4.5).

Additional scoring came from multiple fifth- through eighth-place finishes across both track and field events, showcasing the team’s depth in securing the overall victory.

Indian Lake returns to action this week at Urbana on Wednesday, with select athletes competing at Wayne on Thursday before traveling to Lima Shawnee on Friday.

Indian Lake Girls – T-4th Place (Waynesfield-Goshen Invitational)

The Indian Lake girls’ team tied for fourth place Friday night with 73 points, highlighted by a standout performance from Addison Beck.

Beck broke her own school record in the long jump with a leap of 17-4.5 and captured three individual titles, winning the high jump (5-0), 100-meter dash (12.74), and 200-meter dash (26.27).

Laura Metzger led the distance group with a third-place finish in the 3200-meter run (13:34) and was part of the 4×800 relay team with Alicia Brielmaier, Allison Overmyer, and Karsyn Newkirk that placed fourth (11:40).

The Lakers added several fifth-place finishes, including Terra Beltz in the shot put, Brielmaier in the 800, and both the 4×100 relay team of Maddie Leiss-Breakey, Piper Warnecke, Adriana Andrus, and Diem Martin (56.99) and the 4×400 relay team of Raelin Klofta, Mary Archer, Karsyn Newkirk, and Martin.

The 4×200 relay team of Leiss-Breakey, Warnecke, Andrus, and Archer placed sixth (2:00), while Kayleigh Taylor finished seventh in the 3200 (14:37).

Eighth-place finishes came from Warnecke in the 200 (29.02), Martin in the triple jump (24-10), and Overmyer in the 1600 (6:44), rounding out a balanced team effort.

Indian Lake will compete at Urbana on Wednesday, send select athletes to Wayne on Thursday, and travel to Lima Shawnee on Friday as part of a busy week ahead.

Benjamin Logan Boys – 4th Place (Waynesfield-Goshen Invitational)

Benjamin Logan turned in a strong showing Friday night at the Tiger Invitational, finishing fourth overall with 103 points in a tightly packed field.

The Raiders were led by senior Carter Daniels, who won the pole vault and tied the meet record with a clearance of 14 feet. Also claiming gold was the 4×200 relay team of Alex Hassel, Davis Matthews, Candin Tucker, and Carter Buck with a time of 1:37.38.

Gavin Jordan added a runner-up finish in the 800, while several Raiders picked up third-place finishes, including Roman Maxwell in the triple jump, Greyson Butler in the 3200, and both the 4×800 and 4×400 relay teams. The team also saw multiple PR performances throughout the night, highlighting a strong overall effort.

Coach Butler noted the team handled adversity well and competed hard across the board. The Raiders will be back in action Tuesday at a tri-meet at Bellefontaine.

Benjamin Logan Girls – 3rd Place (Waynesfield-Goshen Invitational)

The Lady Raiders placed third overall with 105 points, putting together a well-rounded performance highlighted by strong relay efforts.

Benjamin Logan picked up two event wins, taking first in the 4×800 relay behind Lucy Wenger, Elliott Butler, Peyton Smith, and Lottie Bodin, and also winning the 4×100 relay with Daylin Varner, Storm LeVan, Scarlett Elliott, and Abby Vance.

Vance added an individual runner-up finish in the 100, while Peyton Smith placed third in the 1600. The 4×200 and 4×400 relay teams each added third-place finishes, continuing the team’s strength in relays.

Additional contributions came from distance runners and underclassmen across the board, as the Lady Raiders showed depth in both track and field events in their third-place finish.
