The West Liberty-Salem Girls Track and Field team is in fourth place after Day One of the DIII Southwest District held at Graham High School.

The Lady Tigers 4×800 Relay team of Malia Miller, Addison McAuley, Ashley Yoder, and Mallory Bostick captured first place and a Regional berth with a new district meet record time of 9:50.13. Also qualifying for next week’s regional meet was Lyndee Harrison in the shot put with a career PR of 31’3.

Senior Lily Smith wrapped up her track and field career at WLS running a 1:12.40 in the 400 Meter Dash.
Saturday’s finals will begin at 10:00 a.m. for field events and 11:30 a.m. for running events.
Calvary Christian advances runners to the district finals on Saturday at Graham.
