The West Liberty-Salem girls soccer team traveled to Miami East Saturday for a non-conference match, falling 8-1.
Emily King scored the lone goal for the Tigers, finishing her only shot on goal. Ellery Wygal recorded the assist on the goal.
King led West Liberty-Salem with one goal on one shot, while Karlee Lucas and Arianna Weaver each recorded one shot.
The Tigers finished with four total shots and one shot on goal.
Ella Jacobs made 13 saves in goal for West Liberty-Salem.
The Tigers are now 4-3-1 overall and 3-1-1 in conference play.
West Liberty-Salem returns home Thursday to host Catholic Central in conference action. The match will also be Youth Night, with fans encouraged to come out and support the boys and girls soccer teams and the future Tigers.
Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
