The West Liberty-Salem Lady Tiger basketball team suffered a tough loss to the Urbana Lady Hillclimbers on Thursday night, falling 45-34.
Despite a strong effort, the Tigers were unable to overcome a stellar performance from Urbana’s Payton Mounce, who led her team with 28 points.
On the offensive side for the Tigers, Lillian Weaver and Ava Astorino each contributed eight points, helping keep the game competitive.
However, it wasn’t enough to close the gap against the Lady Hillclimbers.
In a more positive turn, the junior varsity Lady Tigers dominated their match against Urbana, securing a commanding 33-5 victory.
