West Liberty-Salem Track Team Dominates Meet; Benjamin Logan Competes

The West Liberty-Salem Girls Track and Field team dominated the six-team OHC North Meet Tuesday at Tiger Stadium.

Junior Delaney Jones led the Lady Tigers winning the long jump 15’6″ and the 100 Meter Dash 12.23.  Also placing first for WLS was Tori Douthwaite in pole vault (8’6), Sophia Hardwick 300 Meter Hurdles (48.97), Malia Miller 3200 Meter Run 12:17.40,  the 4×800 Relay team of Addison McAuley, Ashley Yoder, Mallory Bostick and Malia Miller (10:20.06), the 4×200 Relay team of Sophia Hardwick, Hattie Jacobs, Claire Longshore and Gwen McCullough (1:53.76) and the 4×100 Relay team of Tori Douthwaite, Delaney Jones, Chloe Griffith and Claire Longshore (52.26).

Second Place:  Sophia Hardwick 100 Meter Hurdles (17.0) and Discus (96’0), Addison McAuley 1600 Meter Run (5:42.96), and the 4×400 Relay team of Gwen McCullough, Ashley Yoder, Addison McAuley and Mallory Bostick (4:23.94).

Third Place: Claire Longshore 100 Meter Hurdles (17.10) and 300 Meter Hurdles (50.27), Ashley Yoder 800 Meter Run (2:34.14), Lyndee Harrison Shot Put (29’4), Chloe Griffith Long Jump (13’5.75), Anna Cole 3200 Meter Run 17.50.85) and the 4×800 B Relay team of Lily Smith, Mariska Smith, Mylee Dooley and Taylor Kennedy (11:34.05).

Fourth Place:   Isabella Hardwick Discus (93’2), Alaina Irving 100 Meter Hurdles (17.90), Chloe Griffith 100 Meter Dash (13.59), Mariska Smith 1600 Meter Run (6:20.27), Gwen McCullough 400 Meter Dash (1:04.4), Hattie Jacobs 300 Meter Hurdles (53.87) and the 4×100 B Relay Team of Lexi Hausler, Elise Longshore, Alaina  Irving and Hattie Jacobs (56.84)

Fifth Place:  Hattie Jacobs 100 Meter Hurdles (18.11), Lily Smith 1600 Meter Run (6:23.16), Mallory Bostick 400 Meter Dash (1:04.82) and Gwen McCullough (28.35)

Sixth Place:  Lyndee Harrison Discus (83’4), Tori Douthwaite 100 Meter Dash (13.90) and 200 Meter Dash (28.65), Taylor Kennedy 1600 Meter Run (6:25.77) and the 4×400 B Relay team of Lily Smith, Taylor Kennedy, Emma Smith and Mariska Smith (4:49.89).

WLS will compete at the Minster Memorial Invitational on Saturday.

 

The West Liberty-Salem boys track team competed Tuesday at home against the OHC North teams.
