The West Liberty-Salem girls basketball team fell to Fairbanks 43-36 Thursday night.
The Tigers drop their record to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in the conference.
Ava Astorino led the team scoring 13 points.
Maddie McGill added 8 points, while Addi Wallen chipped in 7.
Other contributors were Ava Johnson (3), Belle Sarver (2), Ava Poppe (2), and Arianna Weaver (1).
In the JV game, Fairbanks dominated with a 53-13 victory. West Liberty-Salem’s Addi Wallen scored 6 points.
Riverside 41, Lehman Catholic 30
Riverside’s girls basketball team secured a 41-30 win over Lehman Catholic.
Miah Carman led the way for the Pirates with 14 points, while Kenna Johnson added 10 and Avery Perk contributed 8.
The win brings Riverside’s record to 3-3 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
Riverside will face Miami East on Saturday.
