Louie Vito
Bellefontaine native Louie Vito is once again in the national spotlight.
The professional snowboarder made the front of today's USA Today.
Louie, 20, turned pro four years ago.
He has won many halfpipe competitions all across the globe and is eager for the '08-'09 season to begin.
Vito will try to defend one of his titles this weekend in Colorado.

The Bellefontaine varsity bowling teams defeated league rival Tipp City last night.
The boys team handled the Red Devils 2,542 to 2,182.
Jordan Vermillion fired a 163 and a 227 for a team-high 390 series.
Ethan Wisse recorded a 387 series and Ian Beale added a 374 series.
The Lady Chiefs beat Tipp City 2,061 to 1,914.
Jessi Moore rolled a 176 and a 183 for a team-leading 359 series.

The Bellefontaine High School wrestling team competed against Benjamin Logan and Indian Lake in a tri-match last night and split.
In the first match, Bellefontaine fell to Benjamin Logan 55-18.
Earning wins for Bellefontaine were John Maurice at 103, Wayce Varian at 125, and Slayde Wilcoxon at 140.
The Chiefs then defeated Indian Lake 39-30.

Several middle school basketball squads hit the hardwood on Wednesday evening.
The Bellefontaine 7th grade boys team pulled out an exciting 50-41 overtime victory over Indian Valley. After four quarters, the score was tied at 41. Cam Henry dominated the overtime period and scored all nine points for the Chiefs.
Bellefontaine is 2-0.
The Bellefontaine 8th grade boys basketball team improved to 2-0 with a 44-26 victory over Indian Valley. Shaff Gorham had 18 points and Matt Gump had 11. The Chiefs will host Northwestern on Monday.

A few of our local basketball teams were in action last night.
In varsity boys, host Jackson Center defeated Riverside 48-37.
The Tigers outscored the Pirates 14-7 in the fourth quarter to earn the win.
Trent Mann paced the Tigers with 19 points.
For the Pirates, Dennis Linson poured in 17 points.
Jacob Hurley recorded 5 points.
