Ohio gasoline prices have jumped 25 cents in the last week as OPEC production cutbacks sent oil prices rising.
A survey from AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express shows a gallon of regular is now averaging about $1.82 in Ohio, up from $1.57 last Monday.
Gas costs 15 cents more in Ohio than the national average of $1.67. But the state's fuel prices are still considerably lower than a year ago, when regular averaged $3.17 in Ohio.

Sheriff Andy Smith
Logan County Sheriff Andy Smith had a very busy opening weekend.
After being sworn in by Judge O'Connor Friday morning, Smith commissioned all of the office's deputies and auxiliary deputies.
Smith led four sessions at the Logan County Jail.
A final handful of employees were commissioned late Sunday night.

The new state legislature chosen by voters in the November election, including a brand new representative for our area, begins its work Monday amid a series of pressing challenges.
Marysville Republican Dave Burke will take his place in the Ohio House of Representatives for the 83rd House District.
Burke takes over for Republican Tony Core, who was term-limited out.
