Downtown Bellefontaine is getting a tropical twist as Pineapple Palooza returns on Saturday, June 7, bringing a full day of fun, food, and festivities from 2 p.m. to midnight.
The annual event transforms downtown into a vibrant summer celebration with activities for all ages.
This year’s lineup includes a downtown zipline, bounce houses, an exotic petting zoo, and horseback riding.
Visitors can enjoy food trucks, sweet treats, and a wide variety of vendors and pop-up shops, including the debut of the Lil Pineapple Pop-Up.
Live entertainment will run throughout the day, with a DJ, live performances, and contests for the whole family.
One highlight is the Lil Miss & Mister Pineapple Contest, open to children and teens ready to show off their pineapple pride.
Registration takes place at the DJ booth during the event, with age categories as follows:
- Baby–6 years: Little Miss / Little Mr.
- Ages 6–12: Jr. Pineapple
- Ages 12–18: Ms. / Mr. Pineapple
Parents can pre-register online at HERE.
Downtown Bellefontaine’s Maddie Stotler talks about the event:
Some roads will be closed during the event.
Additional activities include a dunk tank, line dancing, and games and contests throughout the day.
The celebration wraps up with a free outdoor concert at 9 p.m., featuring Southern Summer, a high-energy country rock band sure to have the crowd dancing in the streets until 11:30 p.m.
With something for everyone, Pineapple Palooza continues to grow as one of the city’s signature summer events.
Admission is free, however, there is a charge for some activities.
