Agricultural Helicopters Flying Local

SHARE NOW

Area farmers are spraying their corn this weekend using a new method, helicopters.

Over 5,500 acres are planned to be sprayed locally.

Crop sprayers are typically not tall enough to spray the almost 9-11 foot tall corn, so helicopters are being used to apply fungicides and insecticides.

If you see those low-flying, seemingly crazy helicopters flying in your area, now you know what they are doing.
