Michael R. Bell of Bellefontaine was arrested and lodged in the Logan County Jail for Domestic Violence, Aggravated Menacing, and Having Weapons While Intoxicated Sunday night.
Deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a home outside of Bellefontaine about a domestic violence situation.
The victim had run to the neighbor’s house and called 911 after her husband had struck her in the face and pointed a gun at her.
As deputies were pulling up the driveway of the home, they saw Bell exit his home and ordered him to put his hands in the air.
Complying, they placed Bell in handcuffs and sat him in the backseat of a cruiser while speaking with the victim.
The victim stated that she and Bell had been watching television when she changed the channel and he became upset.
Bell was transported to the Logan County Jail without incident.
