Thursday afternoon Bellefontaine Police officers arrested William Board, 37, of Bellefontaine, for criminal damaging, abduction, and assault.
Board and a female victim had gotten into an altercation at his home earlier in the day.
When she attempted to leave, Board slammed the door shut, locked it and refused to let her exit the home.
Moments later, she was able to escape, but Board followed after her with a baseball bat.
She sustained minor injuries while protecting her car from Board who was eventually able to bust her windshield with the bat.
Board admitted to police that he did break the window, however denied everything else.
He was arrested and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
