Benjamin Logan Artists Shine at Congressional Art Competition

Benjamin Logan High School is proud to congratulate Charley Hardman for her exceptional achievement in the 2024 Congressional Art Competition held at the Warren G. Harding Presidential Center in Marion, Ohio.

The Congressional Art Competition is a prestigious event that celebrates the artistic talents within Ohio’s Fourth Congressional District.

Charley Hardman’s artwork has been selected as the winner of the Fourth Congressional District, earning the honor of having her piece displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year. This recognition is a testament to Charley’s exceptional creativity and skill nurtured under the guidance of Benjamin Logan High School’s visual arts instructor, Mrs. Jennifer Davis.

Sponsored by the U.S. House of Representatives and supported by Congressman Jim Jordan, this competition offers students the opportunity to have their artwork showcased in the Cannon Tunnel connecting the Cannon House Office Building to the Capitol.

In addition to Charley’s outstanding achievement, Benjamin Logan High School is proud to recognize Lauren Hemmelgarn, who earned the 2nd place spot in the competition, showcasing the school’s depth of artistic talent.

Furthermore, Trenity Helton, Nadiya Powell, and Sidney Sallee represented Benjamin Logan High School with distinction as participants in the 2024 Congressional Art Competition, demonstrating their commitment to artistic excellence.

As the Fourth Congressional District winner, Charley Hardman will receive two airfare tickets to visit the exhibition and will be eligible for a scholarship, in addition to a Capitol tour.
