BHS Celebrates Class of 2024 at 3E Signing Event

The Bellefontaine High School Class of 2024 was celebrated during a 3E Signing Event in the Distance Learning Center Wednesday morning.

The 3E’s stand for Employed, Enlisted, and Enrolled.

120 BHS seniors signed a certificate declaring their career path after graduation.

61 percent will be enrolled, 37 percent will be employed, and 2 percent will be enlisted.

Bellefontaine High School Principal Jason Brown emceed the event.

He thanked the seniors for their commitment to excellence throughout the school year.

Brown encouraged each senior to have a plan, be ready to adjust the plan, and remember that how they respond to adversity will determine their success.

The keynote speaker was Marker President/CEO Alison Marker.

She urged each senior to be ready to adapt in their career, ask for help, and listen.

Marker shared her personal journey to illustrate each of these points.

Alison earned her degree in psychology and women’s studies at Miami University.

She then worked as a psychotherapist for several years before changing her career path and joining Marker.

Alison has been the president of Marker for 6 years.

She graduated from BHS in 2000.

Logan County Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Ben Vollrath urged the seniors to consider the many employment options in the county.

Bellefontaine Mayor David Crissman, Link Construction Group Safety Director Steve Reid, and Ohio Army National Guard Sergeant Sean Casto also attended the ceremony.

After the signing, students posed for pictures in their respective Employed, Enlisted, or Enrolled group.

During the school year students had many opportunities to explore the different 3E options.

Our five local schools (Bellefontaine, Benjamin Logan, Indian Lake, Riverside, and Ohio Hi-Point Career Center) teamed up with the Logan County Collaborative for several events, including College Day, Career Day, Enlistment Week, and Career Speakers.
