BHS Community Service Group Serves Thanksgiving Meals to Local Families

Three students in Rick Reed’s BHS Community Service program served five local families with Thanksgiving meals today. Maelee Van Buskirk, Kayla Geboy, and Kinley Dunn chose to create, shop, cook, and deliver a full-course Thanksgiving meal.

The girls planned the project over the last couple of months. They sent emails to gather information on families in need. They then created a meal plan, made a grocery list, shopped for the goods, and cooked the meal.

Turkey, cheesy potatoes, macaroni and cheese, chicken noodles, and a dessert made up the meal and was met with great appreciation by the recipient families.

We salute Maelee, Kayla, and Kinley for their giving spirit.
