BL Robotics team competes at state contest

The Benjamin Logan High School robotics team competed at the First Tech Challenge Ohio State Championship on Saturday at Hobart Arena in Troy.

For this year’s energy-themed game, the Raiders had to design a robot that could place cones onto different height junction poles. This is Benjamin Logan’s first appearance at the state tournament since 2015.

The robotics team consists of juniors Claire Rhodes and Addison Murphy, sophomores Matt Cox, Kameron Lockwood, and Lily Rudolph, and freshmen Annika Chappell, Wyatt LeVan, Elliot Carpenter, Finch Hone, and Taavo Simovart.

This event ends the season for the FTC team, but the Robotics Club is still busy preparing for the National Robotics Challenge in April.

The Raiders will also welcome all 8th-graders to the high school in May to let the soon-to-be freshmen see what opportunities exist for them next year.
