A 20-year-old Richwood man was arrested Monday afternoon after a domestic violence investigation at the East Liberty Honda Plant.
According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the plant shortly after 2:15 p.m. after reports of a domestic dispute involving Colton Boerger, 20, of Richwood, and a female victim.
When deputies arrived, security personnel had already separated the two individuals.
Boerger told deputies the duo had been arguing on their way to work.
He admitted that during the argument, he backhanded the woman after she pinched his hand while they were traveling in a vehicle.
The victim told deputies the argument began earlier in the day and continued during the drive to work.
After arriving at the Honda plant, she told deputies Boerger grabbed her by the neck with both hands, lifting her off the ground before setting her back down.
Deputies noted several injuries, including bruising and red marks around the victim’s neck, a bruised cheek, a cut on her hand, and a busted lip.
Boerger initially denied causing the injuries to the victim’s neck.
Deputies reported that he later changed his account, stating he had been massaging her neck.
Boerger was arrested and transported to the Logan County Jail, where he is being held on a charge of domestic violence.
