Logan County Commissioner Joe Antram recently joined county leaders from across the nation for the National Association of Counties’ County Leadership Institute, a program focused on helping local officials tackle the growing challenges facing county government.
Antram attended the three-day institute last week after being nominated by the County Commissioners Association of Ohio.
He was one of 21 county officials selected to participate in this year’s program.
The County Leadership Institute is designed to strengthen leadership skills and provide county officials with tools to identify and implement innovative solutions to complex issues affecting their communities.
During the program, participants explored adaptive leadership strategies and worked directly with faculty members to discuss challenges facing their counties.
The institute also provided opportunities for officials from across the country to share ideas and build professional relationships.
“Participating in the CLI was invaluable in building connections with other county commissioners from around the nation,” Antram said. “Together, we engaged in meaningful discussions about how to lead effectively in today’s complex and ever-changing landscape.”
County officials also gained hands-on experience applying leadership frameworks to real-world issues impacting local governments.
The County Leadership Institute, offered by the National Association of Counties, is designed to help county leaders better serve their communities through collaboration, innovation, and effective leadership.
