Longtime Logan County public servant Mike Yoder is once again seeking reelection to the Logan County Commission, with voters set to see his name on the ballot this fall as he runs unopposed.
Yoder has been involved in local government since the 1980s, building a career that has included service as Bellefontaine City Auditor, Logan County Auditor, and now Logan County Commissioner.
During an appearance on “Listen Up!” with 98.3 WPKO News Director April King on Sunday, Yoder reflected on his decades in public office and discussed the importance of experience, fiscal responsibility, and continuing to serve the residents of Logan County.
Yoder spoke about the roles he has fulfilled throughout his career in public service, the responsibilities he currently handles as a county commissioner, and some of the challenges that come with the position.
Topics included county budgeting, infrastructure needs, economic development, and balancing the needs of taxpayers while maintaining county services.
Yoder said his years in public service have given him a strong understanding of county operations and the challenges local governments face.
Throughout his career, he has been involved in budgeting, financial oversight, infrastructure planning, and economic development efforts across the county.
Now serving as a county commissioner, Yoder said he remains focused on maintaining county services while planning for future growth and opportunities in Logan County.
With no challenger in the upcoming election, Yoder is positioned to continue in his role on the commission following the November vote.
