Thursday afternoon officers from the Washington Township Police Department were on patrol on State Route 235.
They conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Brandan Berry, 32 of Bellefontaine, for an equipment violation.
When officers made contact with Brandan and his passenger Crystal Berry, they seemed overly nervous about the stop.
Crystal admitted to having marijuana inside the vehicle.
A probable cause search was conducted and a white powdery substance was located and tested positive for cocaine.
A marijuana vapor pen was also located.
Brandan and Crystal were taken into custody and lodged in the Logan County Jail where they were charged with possession of cocaine.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
