A 30-year-old Dayton man was arrested Saturday after a traffic stop on South Main Street in Bellefontaine.
Police stopped Richard Taylor after officers found him speeding, failing to maintain his lane, and driving with an expired registration.
During the stop, officers reported a strong odor of burnt marijuana and said Taylor showed several signs of impairment.
Taylor admitted using marijuana earlier in the day, and during a search of his pickup, officers found marijuana, rolling papers, a burnt marijuana cigarette, and a lighter.
He later declined standardized field sobriety testing.
Taylor was arrested for OVI and expired registration.
He also refused to submit to breath and urine testing at the police department.
After being issued citations for OVI and expired registration, Taylor was released to a sober driver and ordered to appear in Bellefontaine Municipal Court later this week.
