Logan County homeowners have until October 31 to contact the Logan County Auditor’s Office about an additional one-time property tax credit.

Auditor Jack Reser is encouraging eligible residents to take advantage of the credit, which is expected to average about $450 per homeowner.

The credit is available to eligible recipients of the additional Ohio Homestead Exemption, which helps lower property taxes for qualifying senior citizens, people with disabilities, and disabled veterans.

The additional exemption provides average annual savings of about $400 for eligible homeowners, with qualifying disabled veterans receiving enhanced benefits.

Residents can learn more at logancountyohio.gov/homestead-exemption, call 937-599-7209, or visit the Logan County Courthouse Annex weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
