Due to heavy rains and resulting road conditions, the Jefferson Township Trustees have announced an emergency road closure on Township Road 55 in Logan County.
The closure affects the section of road between Sloan Boulevard and Township Road 184.
The closure is necessary to allow crews to complete a culvert replacement.
Officials anticipate the road will remain closed for approximately three days, weather and construction conditions permitting.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use an alternate route while the work is underway.
