Bellefontaine Police responded to a call Thursday to the Super 8 Hotel in Bellefontaine for a possible drug overdose. When officers arrived they found Ricardo Vasquez, of Riverview, Florida, sitting on the ground outside the hotel. Vasquez was found by witnesses who believed he was overdosing so they administered Narcan immediately before calling 9-1-1.
Vasquez was taken to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment where he became combative and began making inappropriate comments to hospital staff.
Officers say he tore his I.V. treatment and was seen walking around his treatment room and yelling obscenities at staff when officers intervened.
Following treatment, Vasquez was taken to Logan County Jail and charged with Disorderly Conduct by Intoxication.
