A Huntsville man was cited for suspected impaired driving Monday night after a concerned neighbor called authorities.

Around 8:30 PM, deputies were called to a home on Seminole Shore Drive after a caller reported a neighbor’s vehicle had new damage.

The caller also said the driver appeared to be intoxicated.

While responding, deputies spotted a damaged blue Honda CR-V on State Route 368 and later located it at the Dollar General Market on State Route 366.

The driver, identified as 46-year-old David Moore, showed several signs of impairment, including slurred speech and the odor of alcoholic beverages.

Moore agreed to submit to field sobriety tests and failed them.

He was arrested and taken to the Logan County Jail.

A breath test showed no alcohol in his system, but Moore told deputies he had taken prescription medications.

He provided a urine sample, which will be tested.

Moore was cited for operating a vehicle under the influence and was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
