Independence Day Tornado Confirmed

On July 4th, an EF0 tornado briefly touched down in a cornfield southeast of Degraff.

It lasted for about 10 seconds and traveled .17 miles before dissipating.

The tornado only caused minor damage to patio furniture and tree limbs at a nearby home.

This tornado marked the 64th in Ohio in 2024, setting a new record for the most confirmed tornados in the state.
