The 18th annual Indian Lake Homecoming Parade is set for Thursday in downtown Russells Point.
The parade begins at 6:30 p.m., with Russells Point Police and Indian Lake Schools inviting families, students, alumni, and Laker fans to line Main Street for the celebration.
Dozens of floats will showcase Indian Lake student athletes, band members, local law enforcement, student organizations, staff and the 2026 Homecoming Court. Participants will also hand out candy and other small prizes.
This year’s homecoming slogan is “Colonize the Cats,” and all class floats will feature an America 250 theme.
The Homecoming Court includes King Tyler Tidwell and Queen Quinn Imm.
Senior attendants are Brady Golliday and Alaina Hershberger. Junior attendants are Lucas Chamberlin and Izzi Mackesy, sophomore attendants are Alex Tussing and Lux Kipker, and freshman attendants are Miller Hall and Reese Imm.
Indian Lake area businesses are encouraged to decorate their exteriors.
The Indian Lake High School Student Council and football cheerleaders will recognize the business with the best spirit.
After the parade, Gathering Grounds will host a pep rally in the gravel parking lot next to the coffee shop.
The event will feature music, games and prizes, along with introductions of the coaches, fall sports teams, and Homecoming Court.
Main Street will close at 5 p.m. Thursday at the west end.
Parade floats should approach from Township Road 239 at Midway.
Students participating in the parade can be dropped off at the bike path pull-off on Township Road 239 or at Paradise Island across from Indian Head Roadhouse.
The Homecoming Game is Friday, September 25, at 7 p.m. at Laker Stadium.
The parade of cars and presentation of the Homecoming Court will begin at 6:10 p.m.
The Homecoming Dance is Saturday, September 26, at Indian Lake Elementary School.
