INDIAN LAKE TORNADO RELIEF FUND

As of 9:00 AM on Wednesday, 1,774 donors have given $427,376. The United Way Board seeded the fund with $100,000 the morning after the tornado to help start relief efforts.  Thus the total Relief Fund stands at $527,376.

To date, $87,347.16 has been used to purchase roofing materials, generators, portable storage units, transportation, prescription medication, set up two Multi-Agency Resource Centers, and provide specialized assistance to clients of a mental health agency and the Logan County Cancer Society. Agencies involved in providing direct relief to provide for the basic immediate needs of tornado victims (food, clothing, shelter, transportation, prescriptions) can apply for funding at THIS LINK or by calling United Way at (937) 592-2886.

In the coming weeks, we will be working with the EMA and other local organizations to identify the unmet needs of victims and provide help in those areas.

MULTI-AGENCY RESOURCE CENTERS

United Way is coordinating TWO Multi-Agency Resource Centers for any tornado victims. One will be open through Saturday (March 18-23) from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. behind Gathering Grounds Coffee Shop (337 E. Main St. Russells Point).  A second is located beside Osgood Bank at 165 E.
