On Monday, the Logan County Republican Party held its monthly luncheon at the American Legion, featuring Dan Hawkins, a candidate for Supreme Court Justice, as the keynote speaker.

The event provided an engaging platform for party members to hear Hawkins discuss his vision and goals for Ohio’s judicial system.

Hawkins shared his extensive background in law, emphasizing his decade-long experience as a prosecutor in Ohio’s largest county.

He noted, “I spent over a decade as a prosecutor, personally conducting over 100 jury trials. As Director of the Special Victims Unit for the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office, I oversaw the prosecution of hundreds of crimes of violence against women and children, including sexual assaults, domestic and sexual homicides, and human trafficking.”

His leadership role included managing a team of seven assistant prosecutors and providing training to law enforcement and legal professionals statewide.

The luncheon also featured updates from many Logan County Elected Officials including the encouragement for the group to vote yes for the Children’s Services Renewal Levy and no for state Issue 1.

Local party members gathered to show their support for Hawkins, expressing their commitment to advancing Republican values in the upcoming elections.

The event served as a crucial opportunity for attendees to discuss key issues and rally around their candidate as the election approaches.
