On Thursday afternoon, 15-year-old Charly Yuretich appeared before Judge Kim Kellogg-Martin via video.

Yuretich, from Bellefontaine, had been arrested in connection to the shooting death of 23-year-old Nathaniel G. Jones.

Judge Kellogg-Martin ordered that Yuretich be held in custody pending a risk assessment, with formal charges expected to be filed by the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office on Friday.

The next hearing for Yuretich is scheduled for January 2, 2025, at 2 PM.

Yuretich was arrested on Christmas Eve, and the Bellefontaine Police Department, along with the Ohio Bureau of Investigation, are continuing their efforts to investigate the circumstances surrounding Jones’ death.
