The 9th annual Live United Radiothon was held Friday morning on 98.3 WPKO.
The radiothon was on from 6:00-9:00 a.m. and featured several programs and agencies that receive United Way funds.
The show also gives listeners an opportunity to call in and donate to this year’s annual campaign.
Over the three hours, many local residents phoned in donations while several local businesses also contributed with matching dollars.
Colton Lowery/Darin Olson of Edward Jones matched up to $2,000. While Kyle Springs of Zimmerman Realty, CBS Home Inspection, TDH Law, and V-Teck Communications all matched up to $1,000.
The final tally at 9:00 came to a little over $10,600. Over the nine years of the event, the radiothon has raised over $93,000 for the United Way of Logan County.
The annual fall campaign is winding down, but there is still time to donate. There will be an online auction the first of December that will feature an RV from RV Wholesalers along with a host of other items or you can donate by going to the United Way’s website uwlogan.org.
The United Way helps with over thirty different programs and organizations in Logan County.
