Waylon Roberts, the son of Will and Andrea Roberts, has received a specially modified Amtryke, thanks to the generous efforts of several local organizations, including the Kiwanis, Sons of the American Legion, the Moose Lodge, GreeneBucs, and the Logan County Board of Developmental Disabilities (DD).

The Amtryke is a therapeutic tricycle designed to meet the unique needs of children and adults with disabilities. One of its standout features is its ability to be modified as the user grows, ensuring long-term usability. This tricycle not only provides Waylon with a new way to enjoy outdoor activities but also fosters family bonding time.

Waylon, who attends the Discovery Center Preschool and receives support from the Logan County Board of DD, will greatly benefit from this new addition to his life. The support and collaboration among local organizations made this possible, highlighting the community’s commitment to inclusivity and support for individuals with disabilities.

The Logan County Board of DD extends its gratitude to the key contributors: Brad Kunze and Julie Schrader from Kiwanis; Jon Kunze from Bellefontaine Moose; Cory Ames from the Sons of the American Legion; and Amy and Sandy Zimmerman from GreeneBucs, whose efforts have positively impacted Waylon’s life.

This initiative showcases the power of community partnership in making meaningful changes in the lives of local families.
