The Logan County Engineer’s Office announces that county forces will be chip-sealing the following roads beginning Wednesday, July 19 through Thursday, July 20 weather permitting.
These roads will be under construction between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. each day. Emergency traffic and local traffic only will be maintained using flaggers (no thru traffic).
Expect delays or use alternate routes. When traveling through these work areas, you are asked that you please slow down and use caution as there will be loose stone for a few days and an unmarked no-passing zone until fall.
July 19–County Road 68 from Township Road 3 to State Route 706
July 19–County Road 73 from the Shelby County Line to County Road 34
July 20–County Road 74 from Township Road 23 to County Road 34
The Ohio Department of Transportation announced that the following construction projects are anticipated to affect state highways in Logan County this week.
All outlined work is weather permitting.
CONTINUING IMPACTS:
- State Route 347/State Route 287 Pavement Project – Expect daily lane closures on SR 347 between U.S. 33 and SR 739 from Monday, April 17 to Friday, July 28. Lane closures will be daily from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers. Crews will be paving the roadway.
- State Route 235 Pavement Project – Expect daily lane closures on SR 235 between Township Highway 229 and Logan/Champaign County line from Monday, June 26 to Thursday, August 31. Lane closures will be daily from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers. Crews will be paving the roadway.
- State Route 706 Pavement Project – Expect daily lane closures on SR 706 between SR 235 and Logan/Shelby County line from Monday, June 26 to Thursday, August 31. Lane closures will be daily from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers. Crews will be paving the roadway.
- State Route 245 Chip and Seal – Expect lane closures on SR 245 in both directions between the Champaign/Logan County line and Ludlow Road from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. starting Monday, April 24 to Saturday, September 30. Traffic will be maintained with cones and flaggers. Crews will be completing pavement repairs.
- State Route 47 Chip and Seal – Expect lane closures on SR 47 in both directions between Bellefontaine and Township Road from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. starting Monday, April 24 to Saturday, September 30. Traffic will be maintained with cones and flaggers. Crews will be completing pavement repairs.
- U.S. 33 Lane Closures – Expect multiple lane closures in each direction of U.S. 33 between SR 292 and SR 739 from Monday, April 10 to Thursday, August 31. Lane closures will be daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Crews will be overlaying the concrete.
UPCOMING IMPACT:
- State Route 720 Culvert Replacement – SR 720 will be closed between U.S. 33 and SR 65 from Monday, July 24 through Friday, July 28. Crews will be replacing a culvert. Detour: East- SR-65N to US-33 East back to SR-720. West-US-33 West to SR-65 South back to SR-720
