Mary Rutan Health has announced the upcoming retirement of Tammy Gump, a longtime leader whose career with the organization has spanned nearly four decades.
Gump, who currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of the Mary Rutan Foundation, Chief Operating Officer of the Logan County Cancer Society, and Vice President of Community Health & Outreach, will retire at the end of May.
Her retirement concludes a 36-year career with Mary Rutan Health, which included a brief four-year period away in the early 1990s.
Gump began her career as an accountant and steadily advanced into key leadership roles, including Director of Patient Accounts and Chief Operating Officer of Logan View LLC.
Throughout her tenure, she played an instrumental role in strengthening financial operations, overseeing physician recruitment and management, and expanding services such as ambulatory clinic operations, home medical equipment, and compliance.
She also helped grow community outreach programs and philanthropic initiatives that support patients and families across the region.
“Tammy’s impact on Mary Rutan Health and the communities we serve cannot be overstated,” said Chad Ross, President and CEO. “She has been a trusted leader and a true advocate for our mission.”
Reflecting on her career, Gump expressed gratitude for her time with the organization.
“It has been an honor to be part of an organization so deeply committed to making a meaningful difference in people’s lives,” she said.
As Gump prepares to step down, the Mary Rutan Foundation is welcoming new leadership to continue its mission.

Bobbie Trittschuh joined as Executive Director on April 27, bringing nearly 30 years of experience in corporate philanthropy, community relations, and nonprofit leadership.
She most recently held leadership roles with American Honda Motor Co., Inc. and the Honda USA Foundation, where she managed large-scale giving strategies and community partnerships.

Derek Robb will join the Foundation as Assistant Director on May 4.
He previously served as a Business Development Specialist at Southwest Recovery Center and as Community Engagement Director for the United Way of Logan County, where he focused on community-based programming and fundraising initiatives.

Additionally, Christie Barns, a nearly 15-year veteran of Mary Rutan Health, has been promoted from Community Outreach Manager to Director of Community Outreach.
In her new role, she will continue leading engagement efforts and strengthening relationships throughout the community.
“While we will greatly miss Tammy, we are excited to welcome Bobbie and Derek to our team and to recognize Christie on her well-earned promotion,” Ross said. “Their leadership and passion will ensure continued success in our outreach and philanthropic efforts.”
Mary Rutan Health officials say the organization remains committed to expanding access to care, strengthening partnerships, and advancing the mission of the Mary Rutan Foundation to support the health and well-being of the communities it serves.
