Today is the National Day of Prayer, and a group gathered to pray, just after noon, at the Logan County Court House.
The event was kicked off by Katie Driskill from Gretna Brethren Church playing guitar and singing.
Logan County Chamber of Commerce President Ben Vollrath opened in prayer.
Other community leaders and area pastors prayed for things such as families, communities, schools, armed forces, and our nation.
Justin Cluck from the Bellefontaine First Assembly talks about why the National Day of Prayer is important to him and the community:
The National Day of Prayer is a tradition that predates the founding of the United States of America.
In 1775, the Continental Congress made a proclamation, setting aside a day of prayer.
Robert Starnes closed the ceremony with the Benediction.
