The Ohio Department of Transportation is advising motorists to plan ahead as road construction continues across Logan County this week.
A new closure begins Monday on State Route 638 between Township Road 51 and County Road 106.
The roadway will be closed through Friday while crews replace a culvert.
Drivers should follow the posted detour using State Route 274, U.S. 68, and State Route 273.
In addition, several paving projects remain underway throughout the county.
Motorists should expect intermittent single-lane traffic controlled by flaggers on the following routes:
- State Route 235 between State Route 720 and the Hardin County line.
- State Route 274 between the Rushsylvania corporation limits and State Route 273.
- State Route 366 between State Route 235 and U.S. 33.
- State Route 117 between the Hardin County line and State Route 274.
- State Route 245 between the Mad River east of West Liberty and the Champaign County line.
- State Route 287 between State Route 245 and U.S. 33.
- State Route 638 between U.S. 68 and Township Road 51.
The State Route 274 closure between State Route 235 and State Route 117 also remains in effect as work continues on the new roundabout at the U.S. 33 intersection.
Traffic is detoured via State Route 235, State Route 708, U.S. 33, and State Route 117.
ODOT reminds drivers to slow down, stay alert in work zones, and watch for crews and equipment.
All work is weather permitting.
