The Ohio Department of Transportation is reminding drivers about several road construction projects that will continue to affect travel throughout Logan County this week.
The most significant impact remains the closure of State Route 274 between State Route 235 and State Route 117.
The roadway is expected to remain closed for approximately 150 days as crews construct a new roundabout at the intersection of State Route 274 and U.S. 33.
Motorists traveling through the area should follow the posted detour using State Route 235, State Route 708, U.S. 33, and State Route 117.
In addition, several state routes across the county will experience intermittent lane restrictions as paving work continues.
Drivers can expect single-lane traffic controlled by flaggers on the following roadways:
- State Route 235 between State Route 720 and the Hardin County line
- State Route 274 between the Rushsylvania corporation limits and State Route 273
- State Route 366 between State Route 235 and U.S. 33
These routes will be restricted between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m.
Additional lane restrictions will be in place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on:
- State Route 117 between the Hardin County line and State Route 274
- State Route 245 between the Mad River east of West Liberty and the Champaign County line
- State Route 287 between State Route 245 and U.S. 33
- State Route 638 between U.S. 68 and Township Road 51
Motorists should also expect intermittent lane restrictions on U.S. 33 at the State Route 55 bridge as crews continue replacing bridge joints.
