Pedestrian struck at Walmart

The Bellefontaine Police Department responded to the scene of an accident in front of Walmart involving a pedestrian.

Friday afternoon, Bryce Patch of West Liberty was driving his Toyota Tundra in the parking lot when he turned in front of the pharmacy entrance and noticed a shopping cart rolling in front of his truck.  Patch realized he had struck a pedestrian.

The Tundra hit Kathy Putt, 61, of Bellefontaine.

Bellefontaine Fire and EMS responded and transported Putt to Miami Valley Hospital with suspected serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
