Bellefontaine High School recently named its Seniors of the Month, Parker Penhorwood and Truman Howell.

Parker Penhorwood is the daughter of Matt Penhorwood and Lindy Martin of Bellefontaine.

School activities and awards: Soccer, Basketball, Track, National Honor Society, DARE, and Chieftain Backers.

If I were principal for a day: I would let the school day start at 9 a.m.

Favorite school memory: Playing sports and spending time with my friends.

People who have been an inspiration to me: My family members and coaches.

Lately I’ve been reading: Huckleberry Finn and my online class textbooks.

My advice to parents: Continue to be good role models and push your kids to follow their dreams.

My biggest regret: I wish I would have joined more clubs and made new friends earlier.

Next year: I will be attending Bluffton University to obtain a degree in psychology and play soccer.

Truman Howell is the son of James and Donna Howell of Bellefontaine.

School activities and awards: Yearbook, National Honor Society, Golf, Tennis, Bowling, Coach’s Award for Golf, and 2nd Team All-CBC for Tennis.

If I were principal for a day: I would let classes watch movies and eat snacks.

Favorite school memory: Being a teacher’s assistant for my dad.

People who have been an inspiration to me: My parents and all of my coaches.

Lately I’ve been reading: The Battle of Midway by Craig Symonds.

My advice to parents: Let your kids always hang out with friends and let your kids try new things.

My biggest regret: Not trying new things sooner.

Next year: I will be attending Bowling Green State University and majoring in sports management.
