Race for a Cause: Ohio Hi-Point Hosts 5K Walk/Run for Breast Cancer Fund of Ohio

BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio – Ohio Hi-Point Career Center invites the community to sign up for the 2nd annual Hi-Point Hustle 5K on Saturday, May 4, 2024, for a fun day of racing for a good cause. The race starts and ends on OHP’s campus – the highest point in Ohio!

Registration is $35 and includes a race t-shirt designed and printed by Ohio Hi-Point’s Graphic and Media Arts Academy students. Families and kids are encouraged to come as a 1-mile fun run is free. Community members can sign up for the Hi-Point Hustle at www.ohiohipoint.com.

RaceJoy, a live phone tracking, GPS progress alerts, and cheerleading app, is provided to runners/walkers as part of the official race experience.

Special recognition will be given to the top three overall finishers by gender and the top finisher by gender in each age category of 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over. The top three overall finishers by gender will receive a custom medal crafted by the OHP Welding and Fabrication students.

The Hi-Point Hustle 5K is hosted by students involved in Ohio Hi-Point’s Health Careers Academy and Exercise Science programs. Last year, over 100 runners participated in the race and raised $2,000 for the JDRF. The students have a goal to have 200 runners this year. All proceeds will be donated to the Breast Cancer Fund of Ohio. This event is for anyone who wishes to run/walk in support of this impactful foundation.
