On Thursday afternoon, Bellefontaine Police responded to a home on East Sandusky Avenue regarding a domestic dispute.
Edgar Rosario, 26, of Bellefontaine, was arrested for domestic violence, strangulation, and disrupting public services.
The victim’s son informed police that Rosario had hit and strangled his mother during an argument.
Rosario claimed to police that the argument stemmed from suspicions of infidelity but denied any physical altercation.
The victim recounted to police that Rosario had interrogated her upon returning from work, then proceeded to choke and hit her.
She mentioned that he also threw her cell phone against the wall when she tried calling for help.
Officers observed marks on the victim’s neck, and a witness saw Rosario hit her.
The victim stated that she was unable to breathe for about 30 seconds while being choked by Rosario.
Rosario was taken into custody and placed in the Logan County Jail.
