Friday morning, the Bellefontaine Police Department added its next officer, Jayde Sheeley.
Sheeley is a Champaign County Sheriff’s Deputy and has served that community for five years.
She will end her time there later this week and joins the ranks in Bellefontaine on May 20th.
Sheeley grew up locally and says she is excited to return, “Home.”
Bellefontaine Mayor Dave Crissman swore in Sheeley.
Friends, family, and future co-workers were also on hand to witness the event.
