A Belle Center teenager was taken to the hospital following a one-vehicle rollover crash Friday evening in Logan County.
Just after 6 p.m., Logan County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash near the intersection of County Road 5 and County Road 111.
Deputies say a 2003 Chevrolet Suburban driven by 16-year-old Shealynne Schneider was traveling south on County Road 5 when she went off the left side of the road. Schneider overcorrected, crossed the roadway, and went off the right side before the vehicle rolled over twice.
Schneider was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Rushcreek EMS for suspected serious injuries.
A 14-year-old male passenger was not injured.
The estimated speed of the vehicle was 60 miles per hour in a posted 55-mile-per-hour zone.
Schneider was cited for failure to control. Shafer’s Towing removed the vehicle from the scene.
