The critically acclaimed Irish-American folk band, The Drowsy Lads, will launch the St. Patrick’s Day season with a special performance at the Holland Theatre in Bellefontaine, Ohio, on Saturday, March 15th at 7:30 p.m.

This concert is part of the band’s ongoing 20th anniversary celebrations.

The show will feature music from their special edition two-disc album, Time Flies, which commemorates two decades of music, friendship, and collaboration.

The album, released in 2024, includes 20 of the band’s favorite studio tracks, live performances, and newly recorded songs, featuring collaborations with 20 of their favorite musicians.

Band member Daniel McKewen shared, “Hitting 20 years as a band was a huge milestone, and we feel so fortunate to continue bringing our music to new audiences. This time of year is extra special for us as we celebrate our culture and heritage with friends and family. It’s one of the most fun times we have with our fans all year!”

Formed 20 years ago, The Drowsy Lads have become known for their energetic and engaging performances that blend traditional Irish music with an exciting, contemporary flair.

They have performed at festivals and venues across the Midwest, including in Milwaukee, Dublin, Dayton, Indianapolis, and Michigan.

In 2018, Irish American News named them the Best Irish-American Band, a recognition that reflects their success and influence in the genre.

The band members include McKewen, his brother John McKewen, Josh Franck, Phil Franck, and Bryan Brookes.

Each member is a multi-instrumentalist, contributing to the band’s rich sound that includes instruments like the fiddle, accordion, banjo, flute, guitar, bouzouki, and Uilleann pipes.
