The Holland Theatre will be filled with music, laughter, and plenty of workplace antics this weekend as Windmill Productions presents 9 to 5: The Musical.
Local actors will take the stage to bring the hilarious story of friendship and revenge to life in this high-energy production featuring music and lyrics by Dolly Parton. Joined by a live orchestra, the cast and crew have spent weeks preparing for the performances.
Based on the hit 1980 film, 9 to 5 follows three female coworkers — Violet, Judy, and Doralee — as they bond over their shared frustration with their sexist and demanding boss, Franklin Hart Jr. What begins as workplace grumbling turns into an unexpected opportunity to take control of the office and create positive change.
The musical combines comedy, memorable songs, and an empowering story that has remained popular for decades.
Members of the cast stopped by the Morning Show on Mix 98.3 WPKO with Ken Keller Friday morning to talk about the production and what audiences can expect from this weekend’s performances.
Windmill Productions’ latest show showcases local talent while bringing a beloved Broadway adaptation to one of Bellefontaine’s most iconic venues.
Opening night is Friday with a 7:30 p.m. performance. The show returns Saturday evening, with the final performance scheduled for Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
The production is intended for mature audiences and is not recommended for children.
Tickets are still available and can be purchased HERE.
